JOSEF GRINBERG
Joseph Grinberg was born in 1946 in the former Soviet Union republic of Belorussia. He studied painting from 1961 to 1966 and graduated from one of the country’s oldest art colleges in the town of Penza. He went on to continue his education in the Belorussian Academy Of Arts And Theater in Minsk, Belorussia (1966-1972). For almost two decades Grinberg headed a children’s arts studio in Belorussian capital of Minsk, created and exhibited his paintings. As the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991 and the iron curtain started to lift, he repatriated to Israel. Despite all strains and hardships of émigré life, it was an inspiring love affair - in two decades Grinberg created dozens of paintings, including his vibrant series of Tel Aviv - Jaffa urban landscapes. In 2011 Grinberg returned to Belarus, now an independent state (he had left from Belorussia,
a Soviet Republic) but six years later went back to Israel.
Joseph Grinberg currently lives in Haifa and dedicated most of his works to this picturesque city in Northern Israel. He is a full-time member of the Israeli Union of Painters and Sculptors and exhibits his works through its Haifa branch. Grinberg’s works are recognized internationally and can be found in private collections and fine arts museums
in Russia, Belarus, Israel and the USA.
ИОСИФ ГРИНБЕРГ
Иосиф Гринберг родился в 1946 г. в Белоруссии (СССР). Он изучал живопись в Пензенском художественном училище (1961-66 гг.) и в Минском театрально-художественном институте (1966-72 гг.).
До 1991 г. он жил и работал в Минске, возглавлял там детскую художественную студию, много писал и выставлялся.
В 1991 г. Гринберг с семьей репатриировался в Израиль. Несмотря на все трудности и невзгоды жизни нового репатрианта, переезд и Израиль вдохновил художника на создание сотен ярких и пронизанных любовью к этой стране работ, включая серию городских пейзажей «Тель-Авив - Яффо». В 2011 Иосиф Гринберг вернулся в теперь уже независимую Беларусь, но через шесть лет вновь переехал в Израиль.
В настоящее время он живет в Хайфе, ей посвящена большая часть его работ. Иосиф Гринберг член Израильского Союза художников и скульпторов и постоянный участник всех крупных художественных выставок. Его работы находятся в музеях и частных коллекциях в России, Беларуси, Израиле и США.
